The Nava series again relates to the environmental themes that Anna Jožová has been dealing with in her work for a long time. The inspiration was again the environment of New Zealand, where the artist completed an artistic internship in 2021 and whose fragile biodiversity is affected by a number of imported invasive species of natural plants. These vases are the first pieces to be created using a special liso-blown glass technique. The three-piece mould is made from a special high-temperature resistant material, making it reusable, and its embossed surface is sculpted with decals of details of marine life. The iridescent effect of the vases is the so-called iris, which is first applied as a powder to the surface of the vases and then sealed.
