Gift item for EduArt

Glass clocks record time by gradually oxidizing their surface. The clock will guide the collector through a long journey of gradual experience, beginning with the EduArt program. The collector's journey will be directly linked to the gradual oxidation of the object, on whose surface white flowers crystallize over time. The lessons metaphorise the maturation of the collector's perception of the art world and accompany him on his journey of discovery. The centre of the clock is decorated with a mirror, directly reflecting the face of its owner. You may notice that over the years the clock ages and matures with you.

The objects deliberately resemble fossils. Their surface preserves the structure of the coral reefs, which are likely to soon disappear due to adverse environmental changes. Glass as a material is almost immutable, preserving their legacy for future generations.

The clock was hand-blown into a metal mould by Ales Verner, an experienced glassmaker at the Karlov glassworks. Each of the objects was subsequently cut by the master cutter Jiří Štencel and then decorated with the silvering technique. Despite the fact that the entire collection of "Collector's Clocks" does not exceed 25 pieces, each piece is an unmistakable original thanks to the handmade production process.
